ovarian cysts - multiple symptoms

Have had vague symptoms for year and a half - odd cramping, bloating, constipation, general abdominal pain and upset, nausea.  Primary dr. sent me for back x-rays last Oct. for severe back and hip pain but nothing showed up except mild arthritis.  Eased up, but severe paid w/nausea happened again in Jan. This time went for ultrasound which showed a 4mm ovarian cyst.  Ob/gyn went over options incl. surgery but didn't seem too terribly concerned.  Dedided to have lapaoscopy (tomorrow) to remove at least 1 ovary, maybe both, and look for endometriosis and adhesions. I'm 52 w/1 child - 19 yrs old.  Pain and discomfort over the past two months have made me almost barely functional. I'm very athletic but cannot exercise, pain and fatigue are overwhelming. Hurts to stand up, sit down, can't bend over.  It's helpful to see other women have these symptoms so I'm not worrying as much. I'm hoping surgery will help. I'm tired of being in pain, Motrin doesn't touch it.  Thanks for all the other posts - I'm really hopeful I'll start to feel better soon!
