period after having a baby

Basically I had my baby boy 4months ago and only started what i think is my period on tuesdayTuesday and was wondering if anyone knew how long the first one lasts for?

periods can be just a spot or can last up to a few weeks . They can be brought on or stopped by stress and change with change of life .  Even its colour changes can be noticed at the beginning and end of periods . if you notice any pain you should consult  your doctor .  . I wouldn't be surprised if they lasted a day to a week . congratulations on parent hood

Thanks it's weird cause before I was pregnant I was on the pill so not really had a proper period if you know what I mean

The cycle length can really vary. There is no set day length. Some women will notice their first cycles after pregnancy are heavier, but that's not all women. But it's likely to be similar to a typical cycle length of 5-7 days or so.
