period now 3x this month

Is it normal to have your period twice within one month? I am 38yrs old not on any birth control pills. The meds I have been on i've been on for months and there has been no change in my cycle til now. Few days ago i started to get a pain on my lower right flank side kinda wraps from the front side to around to my back. Thought maybe I was overdoing exercise or something. Two weeks prior to that I had right after my normal period...(this part is really hard for me to say) I had two accidents...I wet the bed and I haven't done that since I was a child.

Today im beyond irrititable and feel so worn down and feels like my period is going to start again soon. This is INSANE!!!

Any suggestions of what could be going on?

I don't know if it is normal or how common it is but I've had midcycle spotting and then a period. This month I had to full periods so it does happen. I have PCOS but have been taken Metformin 1500mg since April 09 and the midcycle spotting started in May. I've gotten it 2x every month except in August just 1period and no midcycle bleeding but for September it came 2weeks early and lasted almost 2 weeks. So I have no clue what's going on with me. Don't stress over it until it happens and the accidents may have been caused from you having a dream or some other issue. If you feel uncomfortable u can always check with your doctor. Good Luck!!!
