if i wasnt a vigin would it affect my period or anything?.. (just a thought)
Thx Guys..
wildfun has said it all really
when your a teenager it can take a while for your periods to get normal and regular
i have polycystic ovaries which cause my periods to be irregular but with that i have a great deal of pain
so if i was you i wouldnt worry
It probably wont have anything to do with your fertility, lot's of girls have irregular periods and it is very common in teenage years. When you go for a physical you will get a pap test that will determine if there is anything wrong, you should mention to your doctor that they have been abnormal as well.
It is possible that it could be a slight iron deficiency too. I put molasses in my tea everyday because it is high in iron, it helps with cramps and makes my period less heavy and more predictable. Women are often low in iron because we lose it through blood loss. I wouldn't take iron pills unless a doctor tells you to though, iron can build up if you take too much and cause worse problems.
If you are underweight that could also be a cause, but sometimes irregular periods just happen normally. If you have another complications like severe cramping, I would talk to a doctor as it may be ovarian cysts or something else.
