photo on profile *not for the easily queasy!

I have been back and forth to my GP after suffering with watery discharge, spotting after intercourse and a god awful rotting flesh like odour during and after intercourse..(it's horrendous) antibiotics did not ease the symptoms so I had an examination... The GP said she could feel something and decided it was probably a polyp and referred me to gyne... Appointment has not yet come through.

This morning, whilst on the toilet I passed this horrific meat like, rotten odoured... Thing.....and I am extremely concerned as to what it could be... I have attached a picture to my photos section, please note that the 'thing' is on a large spoon, not a teaspoon. Any advice or experiences would be very welcome.

With the bank holiday, I will not be able to go to the doctors until Tuesday
Many thanks!

Just to update you, GP thinks it was a polyp that had come away... But a very large one! I'm going to wait for my gyne appointment just to clear it from my mind!

I agree that it is most likely a tampon.  Those are the symptoms of that (especially the foul, rotting smell).  The texture of the tampon would change dramatically if left there.

How do I know this?  I did it once. Ugh.  Lesson learned.

I had no repercussions from it thankfully.  good luck.

Has the smell and discharge gone away since removing it?  If not, see your doctor.

from what I could see it was pure bodily tissue... Pink inside and bleeding etc... If it was an old tampon it must have been there for years to collect all of that tissue... I have never had any toxic shock symptoms either... I'm very confused!

Is it possible that it was an old tampon? That could be the cause of the smell? !?
