BTW, I recommend buying and using an at home ovulation pee on the stick, b/c then you can keep better track on what's happening. I was worried if I missed a period after the m/c then maybe I was pregnant (as I haven't been following doctor's advice completely about waiting!), or messed up cycle after m/c. The ovulation test shows I am ovulating this week so good for me to know my body looks back to normal at least with that and I should avoid unprotected sex with my husband if I hope to wait one cycle!

yep, i have decided to wait until my next period which will bb due in about 2 weeks. I am hoping it will happend quicker than last time, and that i dont have to go through another miscarriage, but i am ready for allpossibilities.

Sorry for your loss and I too recently had an early m/c (probably about week 6 of pregnancy). I thought maybe it was but maybe not b/c some people say bleeding can be ok with a normal pregnancy, but an ultrasound showed an empty sack, which likely was a m/c, and followup blood work confirmed a m/c b/c my hcg levels went down instead of up. I didn't need a D & C b/c light bleeding and ended in a week, so similar to your experience in terms of it being like a period. It is frustrating now as I just want to try again but there really is no research about this and my midwife and PCP say if I can wait one cycle best to wait at least that. I've already had "unprotected" sex with my husband and know I'm risking getting pregnant sooner than doctors want me to, but I am eager as I'm 36 years old and trying for first baby! Plus, who knows when I'll ovulate or get a normal period as I've been told it can vary among women - hopefuly 4 to 6 weeks after a m/c but no guarantee. I do home ovulation tests (pee on a stick like pregnancy test) so I can see when best to conceive, but again I have mixed goals - get pregnant or not only b/c doctors say wait a little. That's my story and I share your desire to try again asap. Let me know what happens with you!

Just wanted to tell you that some have fallen again within 3 weeks of the m/c and had a normal to term pregnancy. Sticky baby dust is what you need.  The girls share it around here. Read some of the stories in the maternal section you will be inspired.  Take care!

I am so sorry for your loss..doctors like you to wait until after a normal cycle. You should go get a check up to see if you are all cleared incase of infection. If you are emotionally ready to start again go ahead. Good luck!
