Brown is okay.  If she has cramping or it turns red..then I think she will need to call the dr. back. But from what i know brown is okay.

She should call the dr and ask for an appt to ease her mind and if he want do it she should go ahead and try to find a office that will see her.  When I was spotting brown I called my Dr. they had me go in right then and do blood work, I was 4 weeks and i went back in 2 days to do it again to see if my levels were still doubling or if it was a miscarrage (miscarriage).

some people say they bleed on and off during there whole pregnancy or it could be something more serious, I would say eather way she needs medical attention.

It can mean different things however hopefully you and your friend can take comfort in this: my sister spotted brown blood ALL throughout her last pregnancy and now she has a two year old son who is perfectly healthy.

Now that I think about it. Sunday she came over and said she was having pains that went from her vaginia up under her ribs. then it quit.

the brown blood could be old blood from implantation. It could be implantation blood that is coming from her uterus but by the time it actually makes an appearance on the TP, it's brown. As mentioned before as long as it's not red and she's not cramping, then it should be ok.

This is the same friend who fell?  Did she tell her doc that she fell???
If she wants, she can go to the ER.  They have to see her then.  I'd be there in a second.

Yes, she is the one who fell in the shower. i have told her to go to the er, but she won't. She trust's her doctor who says it's normal. I'd be there in a sec. too. I wish she would go, but i can't make her.

As someone who bled during pregnancy, I can assure you that brown blood is not generally an ER moment.  It's possible she bled a long time ago inside her uterus (maybe from the fall but maybe from something totally different, like lifting or implantation or anything) and it took a while to find a way to seep out.  Her doc will do a pelvic and probably and u/s, and I'm guessing that unless things change (the blood turns red, or there is cramping and clotting), she's fine.  Please don't take on so much grief for someone else's pregnancy, you won't make it through to the end!  :)

I am 8 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child, and experienced brown spotting for 7 days.  DID THE BROWN SPOTTING COME A DAY OR TWO AFTER HAVING SEX???? If so, tell her to RELAX.  The cervix is very sensitive primarily in early pregnancy, and intercourse will irritate the cervix.  IT IS STILL SAFE TO HAVE SEX.  If she is NOT cramping or actually experiencing red blood, she shoud be fine with brown spotting.  With my first pregnancy, I had brown blood for 3 consecutive weeks, and now she is a 4 year who couldn't be any smarter and cuter than anyone I have ever met.  Good luck, but it sounds to me that everything is normal.
