pocket of fluid in uterus uterine wall thickening

I recently had an transvaginal ultrasound to access the stability of some uterine fibroids and my doctor found a small pocket of fluid as well as some thickening of the uterine wall. He now wants to do an endometrial biopsy. I will turn 40 in 2 days, have 2 children and have been relatively healthy. Would this indicate a cancerous condition, would it be of the uterus, ovaries, or what??? I have to have this done next week and am of course scared. Can anyone talk to me about this.

Did you get the procedure done? I also had a transvaginal and ct scan..on abdomen and pelvis. My test said I had a thickening of the uterus lining................ I have had menstral cramps with no period for over a month.Dr. recommended a D&C............. I also am very scared to have this done............. let me know what you find out..e mail ***@****. I am curious to know what they found out.
