post ablation syndrome

I had a nova sure ablation about 4 years ago and i am having severe pain every month for about 1 week.  Is anyone else having severe bowel movement and urination problems?  When I have a bowel movement it feels like my colon is being strangled and I have to strain to go.  It also feels like there is alot of pressure in that area.  My gyne of course thinks there is nothing wrong with my uterus and advised me to see a gastroenterologist.  I insisted on my gyne doing a ultrasound. I will see what happens.

Had novasure almost two years ago and started having horrible pain this pain is just horrific and sometimes lasts for hours and days! My gyne says this syndrome doesn't exist after reading so much about this ablation syndrome seems probably what I'm experiencing !! I'm very frustrated and tired of dealing with the pain and had many tests done and they just can't figure it out or the cause but seems happen right before my cycle and once I bleed the pain goes away!! This has been a horrifying experience

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? How was your ultrasound result and gastro consult? Immediately after the NovaSure procedure, cramping, mild pain, nausea, or vomiting may be observed. However, if it has been a few years already, further evaluation may indeed be done and other possible issues may need to be ruled out also. Ultrasound may indeed help rule out post ablation syndrome but additional tests such as urine and blood tests may also help determine if there is presence of infection. Having the symptoms during bowel movement may also suggest gastrointestinal issues and needs to be checked to rule it out. Take care and do keep us posted.
