pregnancy and meningitis 2

Dear 768,
She had to be operated upon b4 her EDD cos she went into labor b4 her EDD.She spent 8days in the hospital under observation of the doctor.She was discharged on the 8th day of operation and later that day in the evening,her temperature rose.It went to an extent that she stopped communicating normally.She was taken back to the hospital for treatment,then she was diagnosed of meningitis which she never survived.Am scared of the little baby been infected by the meningitis or any other diease.
Hope am a little clear now.
