pregnent on provera?????

Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone has gotten pregnant while on provera or if its even possible? My last period was April 20, Dr put me on provera and I’m on day 5 since I took my last pill and no period, I don’t even feel like its coming. I did take a HPT yesterday and it was negative. Has anyone gotten pregnant while on it or knows of someone who has? Did anyone ever not start their period and had to go back to the Dr? if so what did they do? Any advice is welcomed I’m getting a little nervous.

I got pregnant after being on provera, not during.  The first time I took provera it took 3 days for a period and the 2nd time it took 5 days.  It can take longer in some cases, like the other poster said.  Call your Dr if you are concerned about being pregnant...and they can do a blood test. It can take up to 10 days after the last pill to get your period sometimes.  Provera wouldn't affect the HPT result, either.  See your doctor or call if you don't get a period.

My doctor gave me provera because I was bleeding for 16 days and it would not stop. After taking provera it did make my period stop and then around the 10th day I started spotting and then got my regular period around day 15th. My husband and I are trying to conceive but have had no luck yet. Since it has only been 5 days that you have been taking the medication I would not be concerned. Reading your forum lead me to believe you are not trying to conceive. I was concerned that taking the medication would prevent pregnancy but my doctor assured me that it would just reset my cycle and make me stop bleeding and then I would get my period on the 14th day of taking it which is what happened. So in my opinion just give it time, you should probably get your period in about 5-10 days. Best wishes to you
