prolonged menstruation

by linda1960, Jun 07, 2007 12:00AM
I had vaginal bleeding all of October, November and December of 2006... I called my PCP he prescribed Provera for 10 days.  The bleeding stopped almost immediately upon starting it, had a very heavy cycle in Jan 2007 then had normal cycles in Feb and March of 2007.  Started my cycle on April 2, 2007 and have not stopped bleeding since.  I saw a Gyn had an external ultrasound and a intra-vaginal ultrasound... my uterine lining was 12 mm thick.  The MD did a endometrial biopsy and "mini D & C" at that time, a polyp was removed.  She started me on Provera... the bleeding still has not stopped and I did take the Provera for a full 14 days.  I have another ultrasound scheduled for this month.  I am 47 have never missed any cycles, have no hot flashes or any other normal symptoms of peri-menopause.  My H & H is fine, TSH is normal.  Any thing else that you could suggest would be useful.
