recently had a kolposkopy....i have hpv....please help

it's been about 3 months since my dr said i have hpv. after the kolposkopy she had to use a lot of some "stuff" to make me stop bleeding. she even said, "i am having to use more of this than i want to!" it was a kinda mustard color. for about the last 2 days (and this has happened 2 other times as well) i have seen an almost blackish discharge. can your period look like that? i should start soon but my periods are always regular. could it be that "stuff" in me still? i am 29...it's way too early for menopause, right? i stopped taking my bc pills for about 2 weeks cause i ran out, but now i have been back on for a week. that wouldn't matter though, right? i have also had some mild cramping and wierd pain coming from what feels like the middle of my stomach. it's not all the time, just totally random. should i get some dushe? but i heard that was bad for you. i am usually one who will ignore things and just deal with it, but this dischsrge is gross! i want to have sex w/my husband but i feel nasty. somebody...anybody...please give me some advice, knowledge or thoughts....anything will be appreciated.

i imagine what she used would have been silver iodine.
when used it can feel like a burning sensation.
it is used to stop bleeding and infections.
the black stuff you mentioned would probably (sorry for description) would be the burnt or dead tissue from your cervix.
im 23 had had the same thing last year - though did not have hpv.
the black stuff would not be you period - so unfortunatly you will still need to wait for that hun.
But if you get concerned at all contact GP or Gynocologist.
take care

I had the same thing happen to me and the GYN told me to expect stuff to come out of me and look like coffee grinds! and yes because you got off track with your birth control pills that may have thrown your period off. After i stopped taking the pill i didn't get my period for 6 months!! Good luck!

i had the colposcopy done also due to hpv...and had tratment done..
colposcopy does not hurt BUT i do know if you bleed to much they use something to patch it...and that once it comes apart looks like small broken coffee beans..and discharge could be dark..(had that)
did you get a treatment for your hpv? i ask because after i had my treatment i had like you the mustard looking color discharge and my gyn had mention to me before leaving her office that that kind of discharge could happen so i would not worry about that.. your cramps i d'ont know, cause like i wrote the colposcopy is not painfull and does not have effects after.. its a bit like a pap just further up and with a special tool to see closer and bigger.. did your doctor take tissue when the colposcopy was done? cause that could of made you bleed...if you have to much concern you can call your doctor's office.. usually the ladies who answer the phone can pretty much tell you what is normal or not after a procedure... oh yeah just my opinion I WOULD NOT use the douche like you mention...in case your tissue are still healing...
