same hemorrhoid

Has anyone had a hemorrhoid for a long time? I mean the same one. All the reasearch I have looked at says they go away in a week or so. I have had the same hemorrhoid for about 12 years. As the years go by it gets worse. I do have an abnormal digestive system meaning I have to use medication most of the time to go. I know this plays a part in it. Its not HUGE, but is big enough to cause discomfort. It never goes away! I have never had children and Im not overweight. Whats the deal?

I have had them for ten years. They don't ever go away. They might ease, but they are there for ever. Sorry. Do u ride horses, or are you constipated a lot? A lot of things can cause them , not just having babies. So sorry, they are a pain in the rear. Take hot suds baths, or use prep. h. use tucks wipes after #2. Hope it works!

Could it be a skin tag? I have one in that location that was mistaken for a hem. - and it creates similar discomfort -- you could talk further with your Doc about having it removed.
