scared! sex too soon after hysterectomy

I had a hysterectomy removing the uterus, one ovary and my cervix on December 31st 2014. On January 14, 2015, I began to leak urine excessively. I went to my doctor and he said it wasn't urine and the I had ripped stitches causing fluids to leak. I was scheduled for surgery to repair the damages on January 15. I awoke to find that what was supposed to be an outpatient procedure had turned into a full abdominal surgery while I was knocked out. Apparently the doctor was wrong and it was, in fact, urine. I had a hole in my bladder causing urine to leak out through my vagina. I was given a catheter for 2 weeks.I had the catheter removed on February 5th. On the 9th my husband I lost my willpower and my husband and i had sex. We have had sex several times since. One time there was a spot of blood but other than that and a few aches n oains here and there i havent noticed any issues. There was 6 weeks between hysterectomy and sex but only 3 or 4 between bladder surgery and sex. Has anybody had sex soon after hysterectomy? If so did you haveany complicaions? I am afraid of what my doctor is going to say at my next visitwhich is in a week.

Hm, I honestly don't understand why women do this.  there are other things you can do to please your partner than intercourse when you've just had major surgery hon.  Sure, you could have caused an issue.  It's a good sign that you aren't having any symptoms but remember, your last issue of leaking urine just came about and another issue could creep up as well.

Please hold off from having sex until you get an okay from your treating physician.  It's in your OWN best interest.  Be honest with your doctor that you've had intercourse.  It may be fine but the doctor will look to make sure all is well from the surgery and nothing was torn or reinjured as it was healing.

Good luck

I would have guessed about 5-6 weeks to wait. Also, I would have thought your Dr would have told you. I think you're gonna have to wait to see what your Dr says. But make sure you do tell your dr... And I would probably think to not have sex until you see your Dr.
