You may have a virus or food poisoning.
When your stomach is like you describe, you shouldn't try to eat but rather focus on staying hydrated. When a stomach is so irritated, if you drink a large amount of liquid, you will throw it back up. The key is small amounts often. A sip every 10 to 15 minutes. Try to drink something like gatorade as well for the electrolytes.
If you are in pain, I would call your doctor. If the pain is severe, then I'd go the the ER. But you want to do your best to stay hydrated int he mean time.
