I have these flat bumps on my faceFace pain that never go away.I keep getting more. The dermatologist said they are sebaceousBirthmarks - pigmented Hair follicle sebaceous gland Sebaceous cyst tumors. There is nothing I can do to prevent them or nothing I am or am not doing to get them such as using certain products or make up.To remove them is purely for cosmetic reasons.I had a couple removed today.I have quite a few and don't know if I should continue removing them. They don't hurt but I am getting self conscious about them. She could not give me any insight as to why they appear or why they do not go away no matter what I do.Do you know anything about these unsightly bumps?
Using a warm compress on the bumps will help your body to re-absorb them if it is possible. Sebum becomes solid after being stationary in the skin for a while (sebum being what the sebaceousBirthmarks - pigmented Hair follicle sebaceous gland Sebaceous cyst glands in your pores produce) and so you are basically 'melting' the solid cake of sebum and giving your body time to re-absorb it. This method is not a promise of success, however. Hot baths (if you have any that would be submerged in the hote water), massaging the area, warm rags, all are suggested treatments in different circumstances, so you might try them.
