severe eye pain

by fantastico718, Jun 07, 2007 12:00AM
I have had severe eye pain in the back of me eyes for the past two months. It's a throbbing excrutiating pain and it feels as if its my skill or something wanting to push my eyeballs out. My eyelids are always shutting on me sometimes without me even realizing it just to relieve the pain. Ive fallen asleep several times behind the wheel because of this pain and I'm starting to get very worried it could be something serious. I thought it could be lack of sleep however, I sleep anywhere between 9-10 hours a night; I've also gotten my eyes checked out and my vision is perfect. Any ideas on what this could be?

It could be a number of things. There are a number of muscles that are involved with the eye including four cranial nerves, the optic, the oculomotor, the trochlear and the abducens. This could have absolutely nothing to do with it, but if one of the nerves are affected, there are certain areas of the eye that are affected including the muscles that can hold up your eyelids. I'd go to the doctor and maybe see if you can see a specialist eye doctor that can test the musclular movements of the eye? And they can also conduct tests that test all of the nerves.

Hi, Make an Appointment with An Opthalmologist
Don't see a normsl Eye doctor. They don't have the know with all
in Anything else besides checking vision and even their machines STINK.
they cannot tell you even if you have detached retnias.
So DON"T BOTHER. (I know this from expierence)....I wish you good luck.....:)
