I have also heard, like nina, that the more times you have sex the lower the sperm count is. I would go crazy around ovulation time but try not to do it all the time. Good luck and keep us posted!!

Once per day, every OTHER day.  Don't wear yourselves out, it's not fun or necessary.

Do it whenever the mood strikes you.  Don't put too much pressure on yourselves.  It will happen, just relax and enjoy your sex.

What I just learned from the doc. on Friday is this:  your man does not have an endless supply of sperm.  He has to have time to manufacture it.  A normal, healthy man takes at least 48 hours to replenish his supply of sperm.  On a normal 28 day cycle, have as much sex as you want on days 1-9 (1-6 you would probably be on you period though).  On 10-11, don't have sex at all, ...well, don't let him ejaculate.  On day 12 and 14 have sex, (when you would ovulate, most likely).  Don't on day 13.  You can modify it if you want, but giving him a full day to produce sperm gives you a higher sperm count.  If you have sex three times a day, he may only be putting out 1/4 of what he would if you would wait a little longer.  This is the doc saying this, I didn't know either.

well i have heard and proven the opposite. i am TTCing and have sex at least 1 time per day and up to .....lets say many. i got PG during one of our more frisky times of the month. my specialist says if you do not know if your partner has a normal sperm count...sex a min of every other day from CD 7 to 19 or max once per day CD 7 -19 is good. there have been many studies that have proven the more a man has sex the higher his testosterone levels go and the more sperm he makes....i thought 100,000 per hour was a lot....i hate to know their numbers. unfortunately i have a luteal phase defect....but we are going with our sex when we want method....cuz it is at least once a day all cycle long. i hope you find what works for you and to absolutely sure i would consult your dr if you are finding it takes more than 6 mos to conceive.

love, hugs, and baby dust storm ....kimmie

Actually,  I have read somewhere that you should not have sex all the time when trying to have a baby. Lowers the sperm count I THINK.  You should go crazy when you know that you are ovulating..thats it.
Good luck- if you do not know when you are ovulating, buy a Ovulation Predictor Kit.  Worked first try with me.
