sharp pains in my stomach

im not sure how to explain this but here goes, for the last week i keep having these really sharp pains at the bottom of my stomach they r that sore i have to stop what im doing as i cant even move but they are over in seconds and can dissapear again for hours, ive also started bleeding very lightly in the last few days but im not sure if thats my period because since ive had my son a year and a half ago they have been all over the place but usualy very heavy so this does seem unusual (also the pains seem to come right before i need to go to the toilet which is alot more often than ive ever went)
any ideas
