signs of ovulation

by ummabdu, May 14, 2007 12:00AM
Hi Everyone,

Yesterday evening, I had a dull pain in my lower right side of my abdomen.  I also had some menstrual-like cramps.  Now this morning they are gone.  My last period started on April 25, so my period is not due for a while.

I have been trying to figure out the pain i get twice a month in my lower abdomen, either in the left or right side.  I get it once somewhere in the beginning to middle of my cycle, and then once, very painful, right before my period.  So, I was wondering if any of you have these symptoms on the day you ovulate?  Could that be what this pain is a sign of (the first time i get it in my cycle)?

I have been to the doctors and they haven't been able to figure anything out yet.  I am supposed to get blood tests in the end of this month to figure out if i am ovulating at all.  Please help if you know anything about this!

Also-what are the chances of getting pregnant if DH and I have BMS the day after I had these symptoms, If they are in fact a sign of ovulation--is it too late to get pregnant?

Sorry I have no answers...
But I do know that I had pain in my pelvis in one side..into my back and radiating my thigh....
Went to the er...and then hours later surgery!
Now I am experiencing the same pain...
If you don't get all the answers you need...don't stop there...
Get all tests necessary to rule out anything serious.
I was very sick for 2 months...and had no idea what it was....until the pain hit...
It was obvious that it must 've been the cyst all along...but only it had started leaking and then finally burst.
I had bloodwork done almost weekly...everything looked fine...hormones..thyroid...
I was even convinced I was pregnant....as we were TTC....but no...
Just another ugly girlie problem...aren't we sooo lucky.
Good Luck!
I hope for both of us....that it is just af coming or "O" pains.

Hi...No I have been trying to hang in there until AF comes.
It is due today..and the pain is horrific...in my back and pelvis..right thigh...
Dr...told me to go to the er for a shot...but I know...that may lead to other poking and prodding..
I am definitely not ready to go to anymore hospitals anytime soon.
So I am hoping that it will pass with af...
If not...than I will obviously need to get an ultrasound...
I read....that some women produce cysts monthly....Oh I hope I'm not one of them!
I am glad your pain subsided...
Wish me luck!
Love Jack
