smear test at 19, am i to young?

i am 19 years old and wondered if this is to young to get a smear test?
i have experienced bleeding whislt having sex and recently found a small lump inside my vagina although i think i have had a lump before and it went?

i do not have an sti as i had clymidia a few months ago and was re checked last month to ensure it had gone?

im worried about cancer do u think i should have a smear test? please help thank x

Actually,I believe they have a blood test for herpes now. Check the STD forum for more information on that.

And holy cow, if my dh came home with herpes, he certainly wouldn't be my dh anymore ; )

herpes doesn't show up in std tests.it have to be test from the blisters.the reason i know is because my hubby got it 2 yrs ago and doctor had to take sample of the pus from blister to see what it was.i was tested for all std's since i am pregant and the doctor said can't check herpes unless u have red spots

whats a pap smear?

dont think its herpies, wouldnt that have come up in an sti test?

pap smear need to be done every yr when u are sexually active.u may have herpes if there is a bump there.

Pap smear should be done yearly after you start having sex.  Or if you have had some problems. Go and have one done and if you say you had some lump there and it has gone and is back you need that checked. It is no big deal women have pap smears all the time.  Good luck!
