I missed my Period so I took a pregnancy test but it came out negative can someone please tell me why

Hi there. Well, we can't say if you are pregnant or not. You may have tested too early to pick up the pregnancy hormone. However, there are other reasons a woman is late for her period. Stress is one, but also changes in routine, weight gain or loss, illness, sometimes our cycle will match another woman we are close to (weird, but this happened to me-- I was two weeks late and then On my besties same cycle from then on. Still am 2 years later). Hormones can have a blip and cause a longer cycle as well.
It's important that when you aren't trying to get pregnant and are having irregularity like this to use protection hon. You don't know when you'll ovulate.
Take another test in a week if your period doesn't show. good luck
