spotting in the mornings

So ill start by saying i had my period in april from the 22 to the 28. And yesterday morning ( may 16) i had went to the restroom and wiped and it was brown. i didnt think anything of it at the time so i went on about my day. around 10am i went to the rest room and it was pink with a small blood speck. it kind of looked like it was also mucus. so i put a liner just to be safe. i know it cant be my period but i waited through out the day and i didnt have anymore spotting. this morning (may 17) i had spotting again but it wasnt brown anymore it was like a red pinkish brown. Earlier today in the afternoon i had spotting again when i wiped but this time is was only pink. I also took a EPT pregnancy test and it was negative, i know it cannot be my period. im not suppose to get it until the 27th. and i havent had any cramps. at least not any that i can feel. im confused and dont know why i have spotted these last two days and only in the morning. my boyfriend and i had had unprotected sex on the 7th of this month and on the 15th. Can i get some answers please! btw my ovulation day was on the 13th (3 days before first day of bleeding) also my normal cycle is 35 days.

I also am experiencing swelling in my lower legs feet and ankles mostly my left leg. I have 3 children my youngest is the age of 8. I am open to all options and advice.  TIA
