steroid dose pak /drug allergy/interfering with cycle ?

Had to pick one Topic are, so Menopause was only thing remotely close.  Anyone here had any experience with a prednisolone dose pak  resulting in  period troubles? I was given bactrim for a sinus/throat infection 4/25. At the time I was awaitng a late period. I am 49 yrs old and generally have regular cycles. Later that day the period arrived, slowly. Next evening came down with allergic reaction to the Bactrim. (Terrible rash) ER administered IV steroids and Rx for a 7 day course of prednisolone in one of those descending dose-paks. ( 6 first day, 5 the next, etc) I had little direct trouble with the med. It helped rid the rest of the rash. But my period seemed to accelerate in heaviness of flow and I still have it, May 6th. It has slowed considerably but still here. I have also just begun new antibiotic course, this time amoxicillin 875. Needed to wait to begin that after previous reaction. Short medical background: I have Hashimotos hypothyroid, diagnosed 10/05 , take synthroid .125 mcg for this. Had successful craniotomy for meningioma brain tumor 5/05  The prolonged period is causing concern as I am also battling very low ferritin ( 7) and low iron sat levels (20 %)
