sun exposure then air-conditioning exposure

by megkel88, May 02, 2006 12:00AM
I was offered a job where I would be working outside in the heat for 8 hours a day on my feet serving cocktails.  I would be outside for 30 minutes, and then inside an air-conditioned room for 30 minutes, then back outside for 30, and so on, and so on.  The past two days that I have been training, I have been coming home and getting the chills.  I'm sure it is due to my body getting used to the 90 degree heat, and then the 70 degree airconditing.  Are these changes in temperature going to make me sick with either a bad cold or even worse the stomach flu?  Can you please let me know?
Thank you!!!

The changes in air shouldnt cause you to obtain a virus (the stomach flu also known at gastroenteritis).

Your body is most likely not use to the sudden changes in temp every 30 mins.
