Sometimes it is hard to tell what is going on.  But, to answer the basic question you've asked, it does not sound like you are pregnant.  Could these things be attributed to PMS?  Is your face swollen due to bloating/water retention?  If it is cyclic, it sounds like it would be hormonal in nature and make sense that your period/ or about to get your period is driving this.  Talk to your doctor again and let us know what they say!
