swollen and achey

I am 37 years old.  Over the past 5 months I have lost 47 lbs.  LAst week I had a fever of 103 with no other symptoms.  After 2 days fever was gone but since then I wake every morning with swollen hands and feet.  At my job I am on my feet most of the day and when I sit even for a few minutes and get back up my legs especially behind my knees are extremely sore.  I have also been having light-headedness once I get up fro a sitting position.  I ahve not had a check up since last year and I am scheduled for one in November.

Yeesh, sounds terrible!  I would recommend googling swollen hands and feet and see if anything that comes up sounds familiar.  Did you mean you have lost 47 lbs. because you were overweight and dieting, or had an unexplained weight loss?  If it was from dieting, there is probably no connection with the hands and feet being swollen.  I would get my blood pressure checked, maybe even before the November appointment.  There are cuff machines at some drugstores, and sometimes clinics have walk-in blood-pressure clinics.  Good luck!
