swollen outer labia

my fiance is 45 years old and two weeks ago she was very sick. She was coughing with throwing up and it was very hard for her to urinate. But lately her outer labia is very swollen and two to three times bigger than before. She is very itchy and she's tried to use everything over the counter to help but to no avail. It is very painful and don't know where to turn. She has no insurance and doctors aren't very forgiving as far as the economy goes. We've tried every ointment, cream and anti-itch formula out there both male and female. She hasn't had any white spots around the clitoris just very swollen lips.
Please give me any advice so i can give her relief.
