swollen tender sturnam

my sturnam is very large and tender, what is wrong, i have a previous scar in that spot from my gall bladder removal, could it be scar tissue?is this something i should go see my doc for?

Have you bruised or abraded it lately, like with a seat belt in the car? I'd definitely have the doc take a look.
