thickened endometrium

I have had abnormal bleeding for the past six months off and on. Have had a biopsy, ultrasound and blood work and all is good. I was just told that I have a thickened uterus but I can't use any of the medicines that they prescribe due to previous blood clots this year and a prior stroke 10 years ago. Any suggestions? The cramping and bleeding are getting to be too much.

Have any of your doctors suggested scraping - ie; a D&C? My Mother has this same problem and when the bleeding and cramping get to be too much in between periods, she has a D&C about every 6 months to scrape the lining.
