update re: 10/20 post about empty ultrasound done 10/19

snb
went to the hospital radiology dept again this am and had u/s done again...should be around 6 1/2 weeks by now (know i ovulated late and question if could have implanted late-how possible is this???)..the radiologist was not very optimistic stating it is likely that i am m/c since all he could see was an irregularly shaped sac which he says is more than likely fluid or blood pool since it is not oval or round like a typical gest sac...had some mild, intermittent cramps over the weekend and still NOT bleeding...still having pregnancy symptoms including breast tenderness and fatigue...remember nothing except a cyst on my left ovary and a thick uterine lining was observed on Thursday's u/s so the u/s pic has definitely changed in 4 days...saw my OB following the u/s and she states more than likely i will miscarry but she has seen similar cases where the woman ended up having a healthy pregnancy and birth so she wants to wait another week and have another u/s done next 10/30 to see if anything else has changed...she had the lab redraw my hcg levels (still waiting for the results) today so if my #'s continue to rise then i still have some hope (although she said not to get my hopes up too high since it is "rare" chance BUT possibility of continuing this pregnancy)...if the #'s start to fall then i will know i am miscarrying:(
this is the thing, i am so anxious waiting these few hours for the hcg results and will be devastated if they have dropped and will remain hopeful if they rise...don't know how i will manage either way...i want this baby with all my heart!! any input

hi everyone, well today i had another appt with my dr he told me that since at 6wks and 4days they can't see a fetal pole or hb that i most defiantely have an unviable pregnancy. My numbers are rising and the dr told me it's because the placenta grows there and can turn into a cancer, she used a name but im not sure wat it was. so tomorrow i go for another sono and today have to go have more blood work done, has anyone ever heard of this? A placenta that grows and makes ur hcg levels climb and can turn into cancer???? I am very frightenend of this outcome! Anyone's thoughts is appreciated! I have been experiencing every preg syptom under the sun and then some, including the hunger pangs!

just received a call from the OB office and my hcg levels doubled (not in 2 days but in 3.5 days (was about 3400 and now is 6839)...so not as high as i'd like it but still rising so i have to hold out hope...just feel like i can't give up yet because something is going on in me and hopefully it's a baby trying to grow:) OB is going to redraw hcg on Thursday and as long as levels continue to rise she will have u/s done again this coming Monday 10/30...this week will drag on but if it turns out to be the news i'm hoping for it will all be worth it...
