I posted here a couple of days ago to say I had two positive pregnancy tests, digitalDigital rectal exam at that and went to the doctor did some blood work and they say it came up negative. They don't know yet if I have miscarried or whats going on. I haven't had my period in almost two months and I have never been late unless I was pregnant. I go back on friday to see the doctor. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on or has had this happen to them. They say that the test couldn't be wrong but they say the blood test couldn't be wrong either so what gives. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thank you
I have to go on friday back to the doctors. I have been cryingColic and crying Crying in infancy for two days. I feel like a total mess. I will ask for a pelvic exam. I have no idea, so confused.
a few thoughts here... (oh and excuse my spelling)
first of all, what kind of blood test was it. If it was a qualititve test (just gives a yes or no) then sure it could have been "wrong" because it simply may not have been sensitive enough. My OB/GYN wont even do that test because it needs 100 units and that is not very sensitive. If it was a beta or quantative test (give an actual number) then yes, you can bet your money on the results of that.
second of all... I have personally had issues with confirm. It has some serious evaporation lines. Did you read the test in the time frame that it specifys on the box? If you read it a minute later than the allowed time then it is garbage.
What I would do is go buy another test. A personal favorite last pregnancy (I was bleeding while pregnant... I swear I took a whole shoebox full of tests... LOL) is Answer Early. Gave me nice strong lines when the drs office gave me a negitive. It is like $6.xx for two of them at Walmart. If money is an issue, go to the Dolalr store and get one of the strips that you dip in a cup of urine... but again, those can have evap lines so dont read it past the time that it says on the box. I got nice lines on Equate too but my TTC friend told me they changed the tests now and they are ****. LOL
Its a new digital test no way to misread. Its blinks green when its going and to say it is working then either gives a blue positve or red neg. It is electronic in some way no way to misread evap lines. But I will do as everyone says, just trying to hold it together until friday. Everyone is asking so many questions and I still have no answers. Is there anyway to not ovalate one month when you are completly on time all your life and then get pregnant the next month. This week will be the second period I am missing. I have never had this happen before. Always been completly reg. I have had one miscarriage then my son, in 2000 I had a daughter with renal agenis and then right after she passed away I got pregnant with my daughter who is now 6. So I feel like I am losing every other child. I am struggling to keep it together. Thanks for all your support.
What brands were your hpts? I've been hearing that some of the digitals can give false positives, but what was the other brand you used?
Have you been experiencing any bleeding?
Do another pee test and take it to the doc Friday and if positive ask to do another blood and pelvic ultrasound. It must be horrible for you sorry. Thinking you are and then you're not, then maybe you don't know.
