I had a bad ear infection and been taking amoxicillin for a week, I didn't take it that friday. and I AM on birth control and me and my boyfriend had sex that friday. is there anyway the antibiotic was still in my body and cancelled out my birth control for that Friday night? could I be pregnant?!
im not sure about the depo shot, sorry. Give your doctor a ring and see what they say. I was under the impression contraceptives, apart from condoms obviously, don't work when on antibiotics. But give your doctor a call to be 100% sure.
I was on amoxecillin about a year ago for a throat infection, and I was on birth control too. My doctor told me not to have unprotected sex for a week after I had finished my antibiotics. I'm not sure, but I don't think the pill is as effective, if effective at all, whilst on antibiotics. You should check with your doctor.
