vaginal bleeding

I am 43 & have always had normal menstral periods. 7 day's after my period I had a discharge that was blood then stopped for a day,  next 2 day's I had spotting only when I wiped myself. Then started bleeding nonstop like a period. I have been bleeding now for almost 9 day's. I had breast cancer last year & doctor did a CT-125 blood test to test for ovarian cancer. Result was normal. Just had a pelvic/transvaginal ultrasound 3 day's ago & have not gotten results back. I am bleeding heavy & it is making me weak. Does anyone know what this could be. I am afraid of having cancer again.

No kidding. I read them, and it's very sad that no one can trust anyone any more. I swear that I'm usualy not mean like that, I just misunderstood, and was so horribly sad for this girl. I also want to say how much I admire you. I think anyone who has survived breast cancer is incredibly strong, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Not a problem! I am not one to judge anyone. It really upset me the other posts about this 15 year old girl. Thank you for the apology. After reading what I wrote it was kinda harsh. Thank you also for the comforting words on my situation!

kimbie, I'm sorry about venting on you, and in case you didn't read it on yvonne's page, it was an accident. I just rushed into it without reading all the other posts first. After looking around, I understood what you were saying and felt terrible. I'm also so sorry about your problem. You must be so scared. Do you think that maybe you should go to the emergency room? Or surely another doctor would see you if you explained the situation. It sounds important to me. I want to apologize again, and please keep me posted.

I really feel for you. Here's a site I just Googled:
www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00394.html
It gives info on the causes of prolonged menstrual bleeding. I'll say a prayer for you so it isn't what you suspect. They say 80% of excessive bleeding is caused by a hormonal imbalance and uterine fibroids together. It might be time to go to hospital to get it checked out especially being so weak after the blood loss. All the very best to you. :)

I just found out my doctor is out of town. By the time she gets back it will be 14 day's of bleeding not related to my normal period. I have tried researching breakthrough bleeding in between period but no luck really. Has anyone ever experienced this? any help or advice would be so appreciated!

I would go into your doctor. My husbands aunt had to have a hysterectomy the end of last year because her period wouldn't end she is around 45 years of age.
