Please... look up Behcet's Disease. ..I was diagnosed 20 years ago. .. canker sores in mouth and labia. .. go to a good teaching hospital in your area. . And ask your gynecologist if she can do a biopsy for an immunofluorescence study.
that will help diagnose you.
It is not herpes. ..
it's an autoimmune disorder.
Did you find out what was going on? I am experiencing the EXACT same thing. Sex Sunday with boyfriend, felt like he ripped me a bit at the bottom part, a few days later noticed these little white canker sore looking things on the labia minora and a few have developed on my labia majora. Also the white gooey discharge. Ive been with my boyfriend for a year and a half, and we've been having sex since a month and a half after getting together. I know for a fact he hasn't slept with anyone else, and nor have I.
Hi I kno all these are old old post but I'm freaking out.. I had sex with my boyfriend monday and it felt like he ripped me and thought I would heal.. But I noticed pain down there and checked it out with a mirror and saw canker looking sores down there so I'm thinking I have herpes. I also have white gooey vaginal discharge. Anybody else have this.. I'm hoping to get an appointment soon bc it's unbearable that I can't even walk
I am 14 have never had sex, let alone kissed anyone and I have vaginal sores as well. I have been treated for herpes and im negative. Help

That is WRONG, canker sores are NOT herpes. Cold sores are herpes.
You are a prideful person. I am sure that you are always scrutinizing others. LOOK AT YOURSELF. You are not perfect.
I'm appalled that you're an instructor or teacher of any kind. You can't even spell "health". I guess they let just anyone be a teacher "nowdays". Any self-respecting educator I've ever spoken with via print uses impeccable grammar. They certainly don't use words like: dnt and ur. They also know it's "in case" not incase. No apostrophes and for crying out loud, you teach health but you can't spell incurable? If anyone wants to know why our country is falling apart, it's because of "teachers" like this.
Canker sores are not herpes. Canker sores are shallow ulcers where as herpes is a cluster of blisters. Herpes is caused by a virus. Canker sores are caused by a tissue injury in the mouth or stress.
Canker sores and Cold sores are completely different things friend. Telling people a canker sore is herpes is adding panic. Please do your research before you respond to these things. Thanks.
I realize that your initial post is from over two years ago, but I could not help but notice that your onset of symptoms and description of the sores are remarkably similar to what is currently happening to my fiancé.
Since you mentioned that there is no way you have an STD. Throw the STD talk out of the window; that seems to be what everyone jumps to.
You may want to do a little research on Behcet's Disease. This is an auto-immune disease that causes your immune system to target your body tissues.
My fiancé has had occasional flares, the first one being at 18. The first one occurred prior to her becoming sexually active, and she had been tested for STDs (including genital herpes) several times with no positive findings.
A few years back her OB-GYN suspected Behcet's as the cause of her problems, and began treating her symptoms with a steroid (Prednisone) and an anti-histamine. This seems to do the trick, but all it does is treat the symptoms and not the disease itself.
My fiance's flares are usually brought on by stress and fevers.
Keep in mind that Behcet's is a very rare disease, but it is something to consider. As I said, do some research on it. You may want to ask your doctor about it if you keep having issues.
Jezaroj,
I just wanted to thank you. I stumbled upon this article though a google search, and I find your comment on this post the most reassuring. I have never had sex, or anything of the like, so it is impossible for me to have an STD. I have a couple of these cancer-sore type things right now though, and have had one once before. Thinking on it, both seem to be very stress related.
So, again, just wanted to thank you, your comment was very reassuring and has given me an idea of where to start some research.
Don't freak her out by saying it has to be an STD. Sure, initially that might be a reaction but she would know better than anyone if she were to have an STD. 97% of the world's population has herpes simplex type 1, THIS IS NOT AN STD, it is simply a virus that most people contract at a very young age from relatives, close contact, etc. and we carry for our entire lives. The sores you are experiencing are most likely a result of your stress. While stressed, your immune system is lowered, making viruses that you harbor in your body more likely to manifest themselves because your body's defense is down and has a harder time managing them. Some people will get canker sores or they'll get cold sores/fever blisters. The same thing is probably happening to you. It's just one virus, manifesting itself in that specific part of your body because it's a soft tissue.
I am currently experiencing the same thing. I have four "canker sore" like blisters on my labia majora near my vaginal opening. It is uncomfortable, and it's normal to think it's an STD. I know mine is not, because my partner has been tested for STDs a few months ago and so have I and we are both STD free. I am also harboring canker sores in my mouth, so I know that it most likely has just spread to my genitalia. It's irritating, but you'll be ok! Just keep the area as dry as possible. Try some baby powder to absorb the moisture. Wounds heal faster while dry.
I hope my post helped!
Hi I've been reading these posts and they kind of help but I'm still a little worried. I had two sores pop up about 4 weeks ago and got tested for herpes. The test came back negative but since then I've had 3 more show up and one of which has gotten really big. The doctor wants to test me for it again but I'm hoping it comes up negative again. I'm only 19 and have only had sex with my recent boyfriend. On top of it all I'm almost a month late for my period and I've been having pregnancy symptoms as well as a stuffy nose and coughing. Any ideas or advice?
Hi, if you have not seen the doctore already, you might want to ask them if you have something called lichen sclerosis. I am 19 and for the past 2 years have had sores that look very similar to cankar sores on and around my labia. They often itch or sting, sometimes with or without wiping. I usually get them only around my period anymore. If you do have lichen sclerosis it's sadly usually chronic, and is treated with creams. No one knows what causes it, there are several theories, to be sure what it is you would probably need a biopsy.
best of luck.
Thank you for the advice, i will certianly do so. Ive been tested for herpes about a year and half ago because of unrelated cysts that i had gotten from fiberglass that had gotten into my facial tissue. I was with her at the time and as ive said have never cheated, but i suppose not that i think she has but its always better to be safer than sorry. thank you again
canker sores believe it or not are part of the herpes virus. you can get them from drinking after someone or kissing someone who is infected with the herpes virus. a lot of people who carry the virus never realize they have it because the sores come in out breaks and they never go get tested while they have them. i would see a doctor before the sores go away and have them swab both the vaginal and oral sores.
thank you for taking time to offer helpful advice. Im 23 and ive been with the same person for 3 years and never strayed, and even if she has(which i dont believe shed have time for even if she wanted to lol) she gets tested on a regular basis, I notice everylittle thing about her and ive never actually seen a cold sore on her mouth or anything, Infact im occassionally jealous of her healthy skin. Ive been researching like a mad woman for the last couple hours and ive seen people with the same issues, woman that havent been sexually active in years and have also been tested and come back negative, and most have also been virally or bacterially sick before or around the time of their findings of these things so im hoping its somehow connected and when i finish my antiobiotics itll go away. I will go and apply for medicaid if i must and check this out i just cant help freaking out- i hate not knowing and i dont like not knowing how to let this heal. i have a canker sore on the inside of my mouth right now too.
i agree with the post above me about getting checked cause this could be herpes. however, i had a sore once, looked like an ulcer on the inside of my vagina. i went to the doctor, she said it looked like herpes and tested me for both kinds and both came back negative. i knew i did not have herpes but figured it was worth it to check. the sore went away on it's own and never returned.
hi, sorry to hear you are having a bad week and you are ill :(. the sores need 2 be checked out chick u say its defo not an STD but did u know u can get STD by just touch nowdays??i teach sexual haelth to teenagers and you dnt have to have sex with sumone 2 catch a STD, you can get genital herpes and warts by touch! im not saying its that but you do need 2 get them checked to be on the safe side as these arent curriable. it could be a abcess, ur stressed cuz you have been ill and have money problems which can cause them, either way let some air get to it and dnt wear tight underwear or clothing and dont mess with it incase it spreads (if its a STD). go and get it checked out.
