I agree with the above poster. In any event, I would schedule an appointment with a gyn to get things straightened out.

A clear odourless secretion in the vaginal area is normal and indicates that you have been sexually aroused.

Should the discharge be white or discoloured this would indicate a fungal or bacterial infection.

A doctor would take a swab of the area and have it diagnosed at the lab to find out if it was a fungal or bacterial infection if there was any uncertainty.  It would then be treated with the appropriate medications.

If you do have sex and do not wash, the secretions in your vagina mixed with those of the man can cause a bad odour.  So it is important to wash.
Sometimes perfumes from soaps, shower gels and  detergents can create an unpleasant mix of smells.

Best thing is to have a good hygiene regime washing with water and using soaps that have the same pH level as our skin.  You may also be fine with baby washes.  Wear clean underwear every day.

If you do notice a bad odour with the "discharge" and have kept to a good hygiene routine, it would be advisable to get a swab done to find out if there was any underlying problem that needed any treatment.
