vaginal itching/burning and wierd discharge

for a while now, I have been noticing that I have a clear, kind of snotty discharge, and it isn't usually around my perios or anything, and it seems lately that I have been a little itchy and burns a little, I didn't know if this could be a yeast infection, or something else, i'm just kind of worried about it

thanks for your help

Thrush (oropharyngeal candidiasis, or OPC) is a yeast infection that develops in the mouth and throat and on the tongue.

Thrush, is a nice way of saying, a yeast infection of the mouth.  So by calling it vaginal thrush, your giving it the same name,  yeast.

a yeast infection doesn't always have a "cottage cheese" like discharge, so don't rule out a yeast infection.  but, if you don't have a yeast infection, then you might have vaginal thrush.

Clear snotty discharge is your fertile mucus.  (That's a useful bit of information if you want to avoid pg or want to become pg).  You get that mucus, called "Egg White Cervical Mucus" when you are most fertile.

As far as the itching, I'm not sure.  A yeast infection is usually accompanied by discharge that is white and clumpy, like cottage cheese almost.  Do you have any of that kind of discharge?  You can either go to the doc to get checked out or you can try Monistat to get rid of it.  But, when in doubt, it's best to see the doc.
