See your doctor, it could be trichomonas, BV, chlamydia any of the above you will need medication for so don't use a ****** as it will make diagnosis more difficult in order for your doctor to treat you more appropriately. So go to your gyn.

I agree, go see you gyn. However, vaginal odor is common, I don't care what anyone says. Do not ******-that is the worst thing to do. If you are having intercourse on a regular basis make sure to shower everyday. I also think that wearing tight panties, pants, shorts will cause odor because there is no room to breathe down there. One thing I do and it helps out alot is after intercourse I alot of the time wipe down with baby wipes. I use the Aloe ones by Huggies that say free and sensitive. I know everyone is different but it's worth a try!

Do NOT use vinegar and water dousche! Dousching is actually not good for you and while it may mask the problem temporarily, it can also push a bacterial infection further up and cause pelvic inflammatory disease. This is something that is completely unnecessary when it comes to women's hygiene as the vagina is actually "self cleaning". It's actually too bad that they even sell or advertise these products creating a false perception that this is actually something that should be done.

From the symptoms you describe, bacterial vaginosis seems to be the answer. You should ask your doctor to test for what type of bacteria is causing the infection so that you make sure you get the correct antibiotic.

And although bacterial vaginosis is not a sexually transmitted disease, there is a chance that your partner could reintroduce the bacteria to you again. (You can actually pick up bacteria from oral sex too!)

Missy 128 was correct that allowing your partner to ejaculate inside of you can also throw off the pH balance because sperm is acidic. Most often this would cause a yeast infection which should also have symptoms of thick white cottage-cheese-like discharge, and an odor more like bread, sweet.

But don't take our advice. Go see your doctor. And make sure NOT to use any over-the-counter or home made remedies until you know exactly what you have.

If you have sex quite often...it could be that also.  Not just BV.  If you have sex and your bf/husband ejaculates inside you....its there for days and can cause an odor.   If this is the case the best thing to do is to use a ******, preferably water  and vinegar.  Stay away from scented ******.

It's most likely bacterial vaginosis, in most cases antibiotics will get rid of it. See your gyno to get them. BV is very common and you'll find tons of information on it on the internet.
