The irritation may either be from dryness or from a yeast infection. Are you fully aroused during intercourse? If not, that's the place to start. Spend plenty of time getting turned on before you even consider intercourse - and even then, I highly recommend always using waterbased lube (Astroglide or Probe are both good).

If it's a yeast infection, you can ask your doctor for Diflucan, or get an OTC treatment. However, if this is your first yeast infection, you really need to see your doctor to make sure that's what you have. And if you're not getting annual pap smears, you need to do that, too.

The burning during urination sounds like it could be a UTI, and if so, that's another reason to see your doctor asap. Cranberry juice won't help an established UTI - you'll need antibiotics so you don't develop a kidney infection.

So basically, I think the answer is to see your doctor :-)

I agree with the other posts.  Could be dryness, could be UTI.  If you are TTC then you have to be careful about what lubes you use b/c most of them kill sperm.  Your only options are real eggwhites and an expensive lube called preseed.  If you decide to use eggwhites make sure you go to your Dr first to make sure you don't have an infection.  You also want to use pasteurized eggs to reduce you risk.

It could be from the friction between your vagina and his penis during sex.  It there is dryness this could occur, try using KY gel and see if you get swollen after.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.  If the burning urine continues it might be a blabber infection so drink lots of cranberry juice.  If this still continues and you are concerned, book an appointment with your family doctor.  I hope that helps a little bit!
