vaginal skin peeling

I am 19 years old. I have had sex with one partner. The last time I had sex was over 3 months ago. I am experiencing peeling vaginal skin. This has never happened to me before. My skin is itchy and the area is sore. I have no unusual discharge or odor. I have had these symptoms for only 2 days now, but I am worried. About a month ago, I had what I though was an ingrown hair pimple- like red bump in between my thigh and vagina. Could this mean I have an STD? What else could this be? If it goes away, does that mean it is not an STD?
All information concerning this would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
