very irregular period

hi I'm 12 and very new to the site.My mom told me to get it for help.I have been havin irregular periods. I just got my first one a few months ago in march. it lasted one day and part of the morning.it didn't come back until August and I had it one day,skipped a day and had it that day.then it was gone.what does this mean.is something wrong.

I am not a Dr. but I started mine at age 7 and it did almost the same and I am 32 years old now. If it keeps doing that ask your mom to have you checked out at the Dr. Keep me posted!

It is perfectly normal to have irregular periods when you first start, especially so young. All it means is that your body is adjusting to the new levels of hormones that are being produced- don't stress out about it.
