Did your doctor prescribe any decongestants for you stuffiness?
Sometimes it takes more than 10 days to stop a sinus infection
if it's a pretty bad one. Good luck!
if anyone is checking up on me...i went to the drs today, they took a urine sample...no infections!! and my teeth hurt from the sinus infection still, they made me take a pregnancy test also..which was negative...so im fine!! thanks for all your input ladies!!
Dunno if anyone is still checking this...im done my 10 days of amoxicillian..and my teeth STILL hurt, and my nose is all stuffy now...what do you think? call the dr and ask for a stronger antibiotic, or will this clear up on its own??
^^^totally agree with this^^^
Silver i can say for sure yes to a sinus infection causing teeth to hurt. My gums swell and teeth hurt everytime i get one.
another question...does anyone know if having a sinus infection can make your teeth hurt???
I'm with MH. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Now, it sounds like you are dehydrated. The color and clarity of your urine indicates dehydration and a possible UTI. And with all the vomiting and diahrea, dehydration is pretty typical. Try to take in as much water as you can. As for your eyes dialating... Given all of your problems and taking ne meds, I'd say this is NOT normal. It is actually an indicator if a problem, which is why doctors look for this in the first place. If it were normal, then it wouldn't be a red flag, so to speak, for doctors. Your back pain could be from the dehydration/UTI. But you have so many things going on and have been sick for so long. PLEASE go see a doctor. I am really worried about all of the things you are talking about. Not eating, nor getting enough fluid, or rest. You NEED to please see a doctor.

thank you for all your concern! I just want to let you all know, that the pain in my side/back is gone. Im finally coughing some of that stuff up, there is a tiny bit of blood in it though. And ive been eating a little bit, and drinking plenty of water. My urine is still dark yellow, and has a smell to it, but i think thats from the meds im on. I have a drs appt this friday anyway to check up on my wellbutrin, so if i still have any of this stuff going on then i will definitely bring it up to the doctor. Again, thank you for all of your help!!
You know your body best...and heaven knows (and some of the women on this forum know) that I have a tendency to be a little paranoid. But, there is no reason to not see the doc if you feel like something is wrong...you're the only one that truly knows how you feel. Trust your instincts...what's the worst that could happen? You go and there's nothing wrong!! Then, yeah---you don't have to worry anymore. Good luck..MH
No i dont need her to go to the dr, i have my own insurance. Im a big girl (22),Ive just been really sick the past 2 weeks and i always ask for her input/advice. When i get sick like this, i want my mom. Guess i will always be like that?? The girls at her work ended up with just a stomach bug and swear that i will feel better soon. I did call her just a lil bit ago and asked about a possible kidney infection, and thats when she told me the other girls felt the same back pain after they were sick. That the pain is just from laying around. She knows that im serious about it and shes not the kind of mom to just brush it off, i guess because she works in a drs office setting up surgery patients and working with girls that seem to have the same thing..shes not really worried about it.She told me to call the doctor if i want to, im just not sure if its that serious or if im just over reacting and it really is just from laying around. I dont think im going to call the doctor yet. If the pain continues later today, ill consider. But like i said before, the pain comes and goes.
thanks again!
Do you need your mom to go to the doctor? What did the girls at your mom's office end up having? For her to assume that you all have the same thing because your symptoms are similiar is not smart. I'd sit down with your mom and have a serious talk with her. If you bring it to her with the thought that you're scared something is wrong internally, hopefully she will take you seriously and go get you checked out. Does she have insurance on you or would this be out of pocket to do? I guess I can understand her hesitation if she knows this might cost alot of money that she doesn't have, but it's your health we're talking about here.
the one whose not taking me seriously is my mom, she works at an eye doctors office and i guess a few girls that she works with have had the same thing i do, and even complained about the back pain after they started to feel better. Im not sure if I want to wait this out today and see how i feel later today or tomorrow. My mom also talked to one of the nurses at her office and they said not to worry about the pupils..that it happens all the time, im just probably taking more notice of it now because i dont feel well. Im not sure, but if was something serious wouldnt the pain be constant?? thanks for all the help
Got a couple of thoughts for you. Has your doctor done any digestive or internal organ tests for you. I know that kidney stones can give you sharp pains in your back close to your ribs as well as they can make you bleed vaginally and make you feel like you're full. It sounds like something, whether it's your gallbladder or digestive tract or appendix, or whatever, they need to do some tests to check you internally. If your doctor is not taking you seriously, change doctors until someone does. Kidney stones can be dangerous if not checked, let us know how everything turns out.
Everything you said, Ive already considered..we did think maybe it was the wellbutrin, i was on the wellbutrin for a full week before any of this started...it all started the 15th..with diarrhea. Like i said, the dr downed the dosage of the wellbutrin to only 150mg. Ever get that deep down feeling that something is just plain wrong? Thats how i feel, I just overall feel like ****. The discharge was vaginal discharge, like what you get when your period is just starting for that month. But i shouldnt be getting my period until the first week in february. Im on birth control (orthotricyclin low)and have been marking on my calendar when my periods have been coming. I just found it odd that i have this pain now and this discharge. The pupils being dialted is freaking me out. How can i be sitting in a room full of light, and my pupils are dialted?? It doesnt burn or tingle when i urinate, and so far i havent had any problems going. But then again, i havent been eating or drinking that much..too sick to my stomach to eat, and frankly im just not hungry. Ive been trying to keep fluids in me, Sprite mostly. Yesterday i actually tolerated water, which i couldnt earlier in the week. I agree with you that i need a stronger antibiotic, but the dr wont prescribe it because of the nausea ive been having. She also told me to use Mucinex, which i havent noticed that its working at all...i dont have anything in my chest, im not coughing anything up...i did have a lot of pressure in my sinuses, but that is gone now. The pain in my back, its basically right under my ribs, on my left side, it comes and goes, and sometimes moves to the front of my body, again under my ribs. Ive had a bladder infection before, and this feels nothing like it. The pain goes from feeling like someone is stabbing me and then to almost like a muscle spasm? if that makes any sense at all. And the pain seems to move, but is only on my left side. Thanks for your input
Not sure that I can address all your concerns..but I'll give it a shot. First of all, a stomach bug wouldn't last 2 weeks. Most stomach viruses are 48 hours max...maybe with a day or two of feeling weak.
Some people do have gastrointestinal upset with Wellbutrin. I would check that with my doc. Also, amoxicillin, although usually well tolerated, can cause stomach upset, also. In addition, if you have sinus drainage down into your stomach, that can cause upset stomach, as well. So, as you can see, there's no way for us to tell you what is causing your upset stomach.
As far as the pupils, I have no idea. That's a new one for me...but the discharge question..was the blood from the urine, or vaginal discharge?? I was a little confused about that one. If it was from the urine, and your urine is cloudy, you could have a UTI, or a bladder infection, which needs to be seen immediately. Considering the "back" pain you've been having, is it down low in the back, both sides, or one side? Does it burn or tingle when you urinate? Does it feel like you always need to go, but can't finish? If any of these are true, you could have a kidney infection...which needs to be addressed by a doc. Overall, I would say that you need to see a doctor quickly, because if you have another kind of infection, you may need a different/stronger antibiotic.
Sorry if this wasn't helpful---or if I confused you. I just err on the side of caution, and would at least call the nurse.
Good luck--MH
