what do all these symptoms mean?

i've been taking birth control for about 4 months now.
my period ended a few days ago but i'm still having period like symptoms.
-fatigue
-irritability
-gas
-mood swings
-tender breasts
-headaches
etc.
why am i still having these symptoms if my period ended a few days ago? i'm now 3 days into the white pills

i did forget my pill few weeks ago. was so tired i just went to bed early intending on taking a nap, but woke up the next morning and realized i had forgotten to take the pill. but would have thought having my period this time would mean that i'm not pregnant, or could i be wrong? birth control is the only form of protection my husband and i use

when you first go on birth control it can take a while for your body to adjusted to it. If you havent forgotten your pills any day since you've began taking them then i wouldnt worry about possibly being pregnant. Your hormones do wierd things when its adjusting to birth control. My periods were HORRIBLE for the first 6 months i was on the pill and i'd never had really bad cramping or anything from my period before. it didnt go back to almost normal until probably the 7th or 8th months after i'd started.
