Good luck with that, but i think you should hold off on getting pregnant. You are only 18!! Enjoy being a kid, because once you have a kid..yes they are blessings and i love mine sooooooo much....you are going to miss out on the things that you take for granted/that your young child less friends are able to go out and do, and you cant.

Honey, at 18 don't worry it'll happen. I am 38 and ttc again. I was thinking there was something wrong after about 3 months of trying for number 6, but I got to thinking that it took about 7 months to conceive the first time, 5 months the next time, five months the next time and 7 months the last time. Give your body time to get back to normal after b/c and I've heard it helps if the woman is satisfied first. It gives a better environment for the sperm to live in.  And learn all you can about your cycle and how your body works. Try fertilityfriend.com.

Sometimes it takes a while to get pregnant after you've been on birth control for long periods of time. Might I give some advise. I think it's wonderful that you want to have a baby. But 18 is aweful young and having a baby is a major life altering decision. I've encouraged my daughters to wait before they have sex or consider having a baby. I want them to have a chance at a good education and getting a decent career, not just a job. You could still obtain a college education with a baby, but it will take longer. I'm not trying to talk you out of having a baby, I just think it wise for you to wait until you're a bit older. You've got your whole life ahead of you, enjoy being young and doing things you will not be able to do because you have a child and cannot get a babysitter or the sitter canceled for some reason. What ever you decide, good luck.

It could be because of your former method of birth control, if it was pill, patch or implant.  Sometimes it takes several months to come off of them and have normal ovulation.  You're a little young to have any other kind of fertility issue, such as spotty cycles or whatever.  It does take a while sometimes for women to get pregnant, even young women.

Don't worry! It takes up to a year for a normal, healthy couple to get pregnant! Just hang in there...
