when should u take a pregnancy test

i just had my iud removed on 4/20, i have missed my period it should have came on on the 20 when is the right time to take a pregnancy test.i'm having sum symptoms of pregnancy like head ache, lite cramping as if period is to come on and nausated at times. i had some of same symptoms with last pregnancy but i just dont remeber how soon should u take a pregnancy test

You can take one now if you like.  They are fairly accurate from about 10-12 days post ovulation.  A good time to take it is a couple of days after your missed period as sometimes you ovulate a little later in your cycle so you may not be quite as far along as you think, and get a false negative.

If you test now and it's negative but you don't get your period, test again a few days to a week later.
