i was wondering how long does it usually take to get ur period back when taking clomid. i was put on it because of sleeping ovaries for 4 years and no period also, and i dont even know wut sleeping ovaries are? can someone please tell me about it
thanks
I don't know what sleeping ovaries are, but I'm quite sure you shouldn't take clomid until after a period starts, on day 3 or 5, whatever was prescibed. If you haven't been ovulating regularly on your own, which it sounds like you haven't, the doctor is supposed to prescribe something (progersterone, I think) that you take for several days that will get you to have a period and then you are supposed to start the clomid. That's what they always did for me. If you don't get another period within 30 days or so after taking Clomid for 5 days, then they need to check you again and increase the Clomid dose if necessary the next time. Most doctors prescibe 50 mg per day the firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc time, and if that doesn't work they can increase it to 100 mg or even 150 mg if necessary. I couldn't tell from your post if you started taking the clomid without having a period first, so I hope this helps answer at least part of your questions.
