white vaginal discharge

I need someone with more knowledge to explain this to me b/c I guess I'm a little confused.I was wiping one time and saw what I have now heard described as a creamy, milky, lotion-like discharge on Feb.4 th. I have researched on the internet and everything says this happens before ovulation but last period was Jan. 17th, I'm normally 26-28 days and ovulation would have been between Jan 29th and Jan. 31st. I know I ovulated because I have the cramps for 2 days like normal in Jan. I could not find anything saying that this is supposed to happen after ovulation. I was with my boyfriend on the Jan. 27th but that was it. Can anyone explain please?

Your mucous changes throughout the month, somes white and sticky, sometimes clear & stretchy, somes watery. It may be you have never paid attention b4 or it may not be cm. If you have any itching or burning along w/disch, it could be yeast infection.
