I AM 41 YEARS OLD I HAVE YEAST INFECTIONS ALOT SINCE I WAS A TEEN AND BEING SEXUALY ACTIVE .
BUT IN THE LAST 10+ YEARS OR SO THE ONLY TIME I GET A YEAST INFECTION (LIKE CLOCK WORK) IS WHEN IM TAKING ANTIBIOTICS. AND WHEN I GET A YEAST INFECTION IT IS VERY VERY BAD. ITS NOT AS MILD OR MODERATE AS A NORMALNormal saline flushWOMANSWomen's way YEAST INFECTION. THIS STARTED AFTER I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FIYBROMYALGIA IN 2000. EVER SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN AMPLIFIED AND MISERABLE. THE NORMALNormal saline flush TREATMANTS DO NOT WORK!!!!!!!! I HAVE TO ASK FOR THE DIFLUCAN PILL AND THE CREAM !!! BUT EVEN THEN IT DOESNT WORK AND HAVE TO DO MORE TREATMENTS. THE BAD THING WITH THE CREAM IS IT BURNSAirway burn Burn, blister - close-up Burn, thermal - close-up Burns Burns - resources Eye burning - itching and discharge First degree burn Heartburn Heartburn prevention Minor burn - first aid - series Painful swallowing AND HURTS LIKE HE--!!!! WHY IS THAT. IT SAYS ITS SUPPOSED TO HELP RELIEVE BURNING AND ITCHINGCauses of vaginal itching Eye burning - itching and discharge Itching Jock itch Muscle twitching Vaginal itching AND ALL IT DOES IS MAKE IT WORSE AND HURTS!!!!!!!! SOME DOCTORS I TELL THIS TO DONT QUITE UNDERSTAND THE SERVERITY OF IT. IN 2000 I HAD MY URIOLIGIST PRESCRIBE ME SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE NORMAL TREATMENTS AND NOW I DONT REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS. IT SEEMED TO WORK. WE HAD A FIRE AND WHERE I WROTE IT DOWN IT WAS BURNED. ONE OTHER THING JUST RECENTLY LIKE YESTERDAY I HAD A PAP SMEAR DONE AND A WEEK BEFORE THAT I HAD A BIOBSY DONE ON MY UTERUS THROUGH MY CERVIX (IT CRAMPED) YESTERDAY EVENING I STARTED NOTICING I WAS ITCHING DOWN THERE AND FINALLY SCATCHED AFTER THAT IT WAS VERY APPERANT I HAD A YEAST INFECTION BUT I HAVE NOT TAKEN ANY ANTIBIOTICS OR ANY MEDICINE AT ALL.!!!!!!!!! I HAVE DONE NOTHING DIFFERENT
THAN I EVER DO. AND THIS IS STRANGE I NEVER GET A YEAST INFECTION UNLESS IM ON ANTIBIOTICS!!!!!!!
WOULD IT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH PAP SMEAR OR BIOPSY??? ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME IVE HAD EITHER BUT WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE? QUITE A QUINCEDENCE. THANK YOU SO MUCH PLEASE REPLY ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DESPERATE R.O.
I am a nursing student and I have been on antibiotics twice since being in school. What I know about antibiotics is that some may cause a superinfection or may also cause a yeast infection. I was given an antifungal prophylactically to prevent a yeast infection. You may want to follow up with your doctor and have them prescribe you an antifungal after finishing the antibiotics. Hope this helps!
thank you i will check into it. but my question right now was i havent been and i am not on any antibiotics. and the only thing i did yesterday was have a pap smear and last week a biopsy of my cervix or uterus. then last night all of a sudden the yeast infection and or symptoms appeared!!!!!!!! i nromally dont get yeast infections except when im on antibiotics!!! i am married and neither one of us has done anything different. so what is this antifungal prophlactic and how is it differ from traditional treatments? thank you so much for taking the time to answer. thanks again r.o.
Prophylactic is just meaning preventative. So they would prescribe an antibiotic and then also give me an antifungal just in case the antibiotic gave me a yeast infection. I get yeast infections quite a bit as well and I'm stumped why a pap smear would cause this. The only thing I can think is perhaps yeast occurred this time because of the procedure. Yeast forms from moist environments and perhaps your vagina trapped excess moisture during the procedures?? I'm not really sure though...hopefully someone else will post some advice.
