why don't I get a period

Well it's been like almost 2 years yes 2 years sin I had my period. And I don't really know why? I went to see a doctor and he give me some hormone pills I just spoted for a few hours and then again nothing. Does someone have an answer??? I didnot care but now it's geting to the point that I'm laughing and 5 minutes later I'm crying not everyday but maybe once a month. Oh and I'm starting to breakout too....

The doctor did in facted give me birth control pills but I didn't take them because I thought my weight was going to be affected. So I still have them I will start taking them. I was taking birth control pills before but I stop. I will start taking them. Thank you for the advise I do that and if it doesn't work then I'll try going to an other  doctor.

when my period was irregular , months would go by , my doctor found me with an ovarian cyst and plus my hormones were to high, they had me on birth control and it helped ,did you take them regularly?
